1st Principle:Take 100% Responsibility for Your Life

“You  must take personal responsibility.

You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself” – Jim Rohn

The real truth – and the lesson this whole book is based on – is that there is only one person responsible for the quality of the life you live. That person is you.

If you want to be successful, you have to take 100% responsibility for everything that you experience in your life. This includes the level of your achievements, the results you produce, the quality of your relationships, the state of your health (those in love with junk foods) and physical fitness, your income (over reliance on white collar job),  your debts (spending equal or higher than your income), your emotions  – everything!

This is not easy.

In fact most of us have been conditioned to blame something outside of ourselves for the parts of our life we don’t like. We blame our parents, our bosses, our friends, the media, the economy, the rain, the time, our lack of money – anyone or anything we can pin the blame on. We never want to look at where the problem is – ourselves.

There is a wonderful story told about a man who is out walking one night and comes upon another man down on his knees looking for something under a streetlamp. The passersby inquires as at to what the other man is looking for.

He answers that  he is looking for his lost key. The passersby offers to help and gets down on his knees and helps him search for the key. After an hour of fruitless searching, he says, “we have looked everywhere for it and we haven’t found it. Are you sure that you lost it here?”

The other man replied, “No,  I lost it in my house, but there is more light out here under the streetlamp.”

Lesson:

It is time to stop looking outside yourself for the answers to why you haven’t created the life and results you want, for it is you who creates the quality of the life you lead and the results you produce.

You – no one else!

To achieve major success in life, to achieve those things that are most important to you, you must assume 100% responsibility for your life. Nothing less we do. 1. Hi there would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re using?
I’m going to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a difficult time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely
unique. P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to
    ask!

  2. Howdy, i read your blog from time to time and i own a similar one and i was just wondering if you get a lot
of spam responses? If so how do you stop it, any plugin or anything you can advise?
I get so much lately it’s driving me insane so any help is very much appreciated.

  3. When I initially left a comment I appear to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are
added- checkbox and from now on whenever a comment is added I receive four emails with the
same comment. Perhaps there is an easy method you are able to remove me from that
    service? Kudos!
